LK was founded in Hong Kong in 1979 by Liu Siong Song, who laid the foundation for the innovative products and services to come with his own spirit of innovation and craftsmanship. Despite financial strain and fierce market competition, LK’s high-quality products and services gradually won out, impressing users early on, establishing a strong reputation in the industry, and laying a firm foundation for subsequent development. LK has established 15 modern production plants – in China's Shenzhen, Zhongshan, Ningbo, Shanghai, Kunshan, Anhui, Fuxin and Taiwan, as well as Italy – and more than 60 sales and service centers worldwide. LK's experienced, 500-member scientific research team has cooperated with such prestigious universities as Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, and Beijing University of Chemical Technology on a host of pioneering research projects and obtained more than 300 patents. LK has participated in the 10th Five-Year National Key Technologies R&D Program, the 11th Five-Year National Science and Technology Support Program, the 12th Five-Year National Science and Technology Support Program and the 13th Five-Year National Science and Technology Support Program, leading the drafting of major national and industry standards for China's die casting machines and literally setting industry standards. LK teamed up with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University to launch the world's first bottom-up high-precision micro-injection molding machine, for which they received the Gold Medal at the 35th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva. LK honors include Hong Kong Famous Brand, Shanghai Famous Brand, Guangdong Famous Brand, Guangdong Famous Trademark, Shenzhen Famous Brand and Hong Kong Awards for Industries, and its five subsidiaries have all been decorated with the title of National High-Tech Enterprise.
